Eee pc

okay, whne the EEE PC was annonced i was pretty intruiged, here was a chance to have a semi decent cheap laptop, maybe to take into lectures ot tkae nots on etc.
here we are nearly a yearon, with many more Netttops now on the market, and i ahve to say the Eee pc is prabbyl the worse of them, it has about 20+ varitions, with changes in scren sixe hdd size, cpu type, os, etc. and now there Eee Montior, Eee TV , Eee Box, and possible Eee HDD, Bluetooth adapter etc,
how the hell if i wanted oen of these am i menat to knwo what want, im pretty pc savvy, but the range confuses evne me, personally im eyeing up eihtehte HP mininote, or Acer aspire one, as there at leaset still in singel version type, however none on the netbooks have manged to fulfill hte promise of a decent £100 laptop.
I wouldnt mind a Linux based 512mb ram, Atom cpu and 4gb ssd ( would prefer a full hdd though) ( i have a external HDD so space isint too much of a bother) netbook, thats it, i dotn want wi-fi ( thgough i suppsoe it might be useful in lecture halls), Blu-tooth, wi-max, 10" screen, XP etc. as long as i cna browse FF and use Open office im fine, Amarok wouldnt be too bad either.

Windows 7 Feature Ideas

ddunno if folks have read the leaked list of feature requests, but i thought id do my own, maybe some one from microsft might see it and go, hmm that'd be a good idea!!!

1. scrollable taskbar - if you have more than 5 windows open at a time they get really small till its jsut icons, this is really naf, so i suggest a scrollabel task bar, like the tab bar on firefox, where the progrmas stay same size just you have to drag the bar along.
2.Adminastrative progrmas folder, to actually contain useful app's like msconfig and the like, that are semi-reguallry used but need the run toolbar to use.
3. more refined GUI, as seen on istartedsomething, theres about 18 diffrnet GUI's in vista, i like ribbon, n the little forward backward thing in medi palyer, so i think they should be standard, the layour of control panel sub sections neeeds alot of improbvment too, n defender, thats jsut confusing as hell, with loads of dead space.
4. switch monitor option built into the right click on the taskbar programs when usign dual monitors. i usea dual setup my my secodn monitor is a tv, if a switch over then i cna't see what behind, but i cnat put it onto the main monitor wihtout turnign back to pc then movign it across again, wiht all the maximizing minumizing stuff.
5. ability to change colour of the task bar, black is the new black, but its boring after a year or two.
6.make things mroe user freindly, i came across config.msc ,n its techy stuff but in a nice explained way, why cnat this be built into task manager or summit so i know what wpscnfg is.
7.include an icon pack for possible colder you might make such as work, school, random etc, n or atleast maek it easieer to find icons on the pc, especially the 256 icons
8. include smethign better than paint, it doesnt have to be firefox but geeze, paint is ancient.
9 oh yeah on ancient, drop the legacy code, at least anything before XP, its buggy, mlaware inducing crap, i dont need any software that's over 5 years odl much less 10, evne wiht compatibilty a large amoutn of apps don't work, jsut relese the old OS's in a vizualitionf firnedly form for free or osmethign, then if peopel wanna use apps on them then they can run a viz, most pcs will run them in that way anyway. in fact dropping legacy alltogether n having a vizulaition program to run xp (maybe evne vista) n below may be a really good idea, if hte new kernal is slim then it should enact much of a performance hit on the Vizzed OS.

thats my ideas done for now

predestinationgooglewhackparadox

had this thought/theory on Google whacking, basically this blog will be about the gogoelwahck with the above name, the paradox bit being there will be no gogoelwahck until this blog has been made ( theory is being a Google owned blog it should eventually filter in to the search results.
so get busy searching for this article kid's!!
oh I'm currently engrossed in yahoo answers, trying to work up my level so i can answer more question, mainly concentrating on the tech side. i hate people that spam, go "it can't be done at all" (though they get there comeuppance when i show how it can be done), n xbox fan boys ( but that's cos i have PS3), oh n unfounded speculation, n people who ask question like "help me?" what kind of question is that with out nay context? "help me? I'm stuck in a ravine" "help me? i cant finish questions properly" well what do you want help with?!
gonna head to maplins n get n CPU fan, cos this one is bloody noisy ( though it was new fan i bought a few weeks back, but apparently not. though i want an Arctic cool freezer 7 pro cos they have rave review, but dunno if ,maplins sell em.
also john comes down today fora week, so get to hang out with people!!

Anticipated Games

I did promise I would write this.

Spore -
i got the creature creator, and i have to say i am like WOW! even with the 25% body bits the amount of creations possibly is practically infinite. this is an amazing bit of kit and could possibly change some games in near future.
cos if some of my games knowledge i know that the on the fly animation of whatever creature i make is amazing achievement, it can cope if i stick on 8 legs, or but legs on shoulders n arms on the hip, just have arms etc. things like making that work (okay its not perfect, but close) would take weeks of animation by hand, n here i can knock it out real time.
i have tried to get my mates to try it, mainly my gaming course mates, but there gonna hold off, but i don't see why, its not like its not free. summit to do with keeping it a surprise.

Battlefield Heroes-
found out about this when it was first annoucned, and I'm mainly intrigued with the sort of TF2 type play, but for free, on relatively week PC's. i saw this as a great way to keep up on some multiplayer gaming with my mates, but apernalty there not so bothered by it. hmm.
so here's for hoping the open beta is soon, then soon followed by RC.

Final Fantasy XIII, it may be unlucky for some, but hopefully this will be brilliant, and make my £300 purchase of a PS3 worthwhile. I've read the reviews , n what square have been saying they want to throw in, such as the real-time rendering of Advent children quality characters, a real time fighting system form XII souped up a bit, for cinematic battles etc. This should hopefully just blast the Xbox out the way form all the screenshots comparison.

Assassins Creed 2
this is relatively new for me. borrowed assassins creed, heard it was quite good, and i thought the game play was amazing, the whole jumping form one building to the next, n the leaps of faith, i do have some quibbles, but i wanna see them take the play to the next level, as well as find out what asbergo want to do with pieces of Eden, n what the writing on the wall means.
thx's to tom for introducing this to me.

Doctor Who(oooo, hey! doctor who!)

I'm now back online after an argy bargy. brb, need minstrels, and a coffee. with my isp. turns out if you complain as much as possible n mention ofcom, they bow to your every desire.
so yeah, as the title may tell you, Dr who is the main topic of this post.
thought midnight was very good with the whole copy cat thing, n was definitely the better of the "different" dr who (ie the one with the angels, n the one with peter Kay go into that category, ones that aren't traditional kill the bad guy stuff)
so we are now rolling up into the three part finale, which with all the mentions of his name, Medusa cascade, davros, rose, no bees, planets ending etc is pretty sure destined to be big, my major hope is that it might bring back galifrey, cos ive reckoned all along it's dodgy that time war end's supposedly with death of daleks and timelords, yet the daleks have come back on 3 occasions now, but no sign of the Time lords.
and now were nearing the end, i have to say that Donna has actually turned out to be really good, especially at helping develop the doctor, and if she has to die dies than i might have a little sad. kinda rich rose telling Donna she has to die like, come on your not even technically form this dimension so its not like we'd proper miss you.

also on other news I've started playing oblivion on PS3 yes i know some mates would claim its better on pc cos of mods, but that was the only difference between the two, n of course the fact I'm borrowing it off a mate which makes it free. in theory its just a stop gap until FF XIII comes out!!! (still undecided on getting XII, then Versus, or getting both at same time, and though i won't be getting it i hope some sort of FF XIII PS3 comes out, seens they've been with Sony for about 13 games (counting ports and others) so if MGS can get one form 4 games, then FF deserves one as well, though i don't think all white with FF XII written on it would be way to go.

right I'm gonna stop here, though i think ill knock out another post about anticipated games.

Are we the only one's?

Reading various stuff recently on space n people possibly living in it.
Dunno if people have heard of the Drake Equation, basically it's to work out how many planets in the galaxy ( can't remember) may house intelligent beings. current figures put into the equation puts it at 2.3 (scientists obviously don't realise you can't have .3 of a species).
kinda depressing, the Fermi Paradox suggest there is no life at all or else we would have heard of them, or they might have come visited us (his glass was definitely half empty) but this is based on the fact that of out 3 million year existence in the last 80 yrs we have been broadcasting radio and TV ( i think Alpha centuria are currently getting the first colour broadcasts).
But I'm all hoping that were not the only ones, admittedly the "other ones" might exist both a) many many miles away, n b)many millions/billions of years after we're gone.
or theres a galactic consortium of higher beings else where having a good knee's up n were not included yet cos one of the planets hasn't been able to watch the end of Dallas n find out who shot JR.
Another thing I was reading today is that scientist have found genetic material in a meteor, further leaning us towards "the human race came form outer space on a meteorite" theory.
now the fact that some more genetic material has landed on this planet gave me an idea, an idea which started this post, what if we were to fills some steel/rock /whatever balls up with genetic code, or even amoebas, just semi smallish ball's n fire about 100,000 or more into space in every what direction, and i reckon give it several million years and their could be at least 10 populated planets. in fact we could use these as scouts so in a million million years we Can find the habitated planets, wipe out the previous life forms n colonize it. kinda creepy is if another race had this idea before hand....
ps in this post I've added links so other people Can read what i did
